Acting Governor Urge Christians to Give Thanks Always.
The acting Governor of Delta state Prince Sam Obi has called on Christians to see thanksgiving as a divine spiritual duty which they should always perform to enable them prosper in life.
Prince Obi who made the call while speaking as guest of honour at the New life family Church harvest in Asaba said when Christians give enormously in thanksgiving God would embarrass them with blessings.
He said thanksgiving should also be seen by Christians as a grateful acknowledgement of Gods benevolence to mankind especially for life and man’s achievements in the world.
Quoting psalm 100 verse one and Ephesians 5 verse 20 the acting governor explained that thanksgiving provokes Gods favour and Christians should in all situations give thanks to God.
Prince Obi reminded Christians of the importance of sowing seed even as he said that seed sowing reflects both the spiritual and material need of an individual.
Explaining further he said "sowing seed is a scriptural principle and obligation. Seed is a reflection of your needs and the more you sow, the more you get".
The acting governor who said the quantity and quality of seed sown determines the reward cautioned Christians not to sow sparingly because if they do that they would receive sparingly from God.
Preaching during the Church service the special Adviser on Millennium Development Goals to Delta state government Dr. Austin Obidi said God was doing so much for mankind and Christians should therefore demonstrate gratitude in all ramifications.
Dr Obidi said mankind owes so much to God and should continue on a daily basis to praise and give him thanks.
He used the occasion to appeal to Deltans to support the acting governor to enable him carry out his constitutional responsibility and leave his footprints on the sands of history.
The acting governor who was also at St Peter Anglican church Asaba for harvest bazaar used the occasion to tell Deltans that he was on transit from the Legislature and promised to do the little he can within the period.
The acting governor also promised to attend to the old Lagos Asaba road in Boji Boji Agbor and urged the people of Ika to pray and support him.
