Uduaghan Hails Uti of Big Brother Africa.
Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State has hailed the victory of Mr. Uti Nwachukwu , a Deltan who emerged tops at the just concluded All Star Edition of Big Brother Africa (BBA) in South Africa.
Besides, he applauded the performance of another Deltan , Miss Oluwadamilola Agbajor, who emerged winner of Miss Nigeria 2010 pageant.
Reacting to the victory of Uti, the Governor said that it was a befitting gift for the soul of the father who died while the competition was on, as well as a source of pride not just for the family but also for Delta State and Nigeria in general.
Similarly, Uduaghan praised the resilience, brilliance and smartness of Oluwadamilola in emerging as the new Miss Nigeria.
"I am overwhelmed by joy; I congratulate Uti for this feat for he has made us proud as a State and a Country. For us as a State, it is part of the success story of our Human Capital Development agenda", he stated.
Continuing he said: "I am also proud of the achievements of Miss Agbajor. Her candour and intelligence has portrayed our State in good light and demonstrated that there is indeed hope in our youths".
In particular, Governor Uduaghan said that these feats coming after another Delta-born Ofunneka’s runner-up position in an earlier edition of the BBA competition reinforces the administration’s promotion of the quest for talents among youths of the State.
He commended Uti and Oluwadamilola’s diligence, commitment and steadfastness to their aspirations noting that it paid off eventually.
The Governor urged other youths to emulate such virtues that promote peace, growth and development as against violence and criminal tendencies.
