Uduaghan Picks Nomination Form for Second Term.

Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, has collected nomination form for a second term in office and has appealed to PDP faithfuls in the state to support him for the gubernatorial race.

Dr. Uduaghan who disclosed this while addressing party faithfuls at the state PDP Secretariat in Asaba solicited their cooperation to attain his dreams.

The Governor said he has made strenuous effort to develop the state in the last three years and should be given a chance to improve further the well been of the people.

He told the gathering of stakeholders that he has already provided dividends of democracy for the people and cited the road leading to the PDP Secretariat as one of such projects.

"We have tried in the past three years to build and lay foundation for social infrastructure. This administration is moving beyond that to improve on economic development".

Dr. Uduaghan said he would have done more but regretted the short fall in federal allocation which he said dropped significantly.

The governor who said it would be disrespectful for him to collect nomination form without informing the state PDP leadership promised not to disappoint them when given the chance to rule the state for another four years.

Explaining further he said "I have come here to inform you that I have picked the nomination form. It will not be proper to pick the form without informing you and I thank all who signed the form for me".

The governor commended the PDP executive in the state for constructing an ultra modern PDP Secretariat in Asaba and described the building as one of the best in the country.

Dr. Uduaghan also commended the Chairman Barrister Peter Nwoboshi for his purposeful leadership even as he promised to abide by the rules governing the primaries.

The Chairman of the party Barrister Peter Nwoboshi in his remarks promised to be fair to all contestants. Barrister Nwoboshi said they would only screen aspirants that have been committed to the party saying "we are very neutral as a party and will discharge our duty diligently".

He continued "we want committed members of the party to emerge as delegates. We are going to bring out responsible, loyal and committed delegates to ensure that good PDP materials emerge as candidates".

He commended the governor for the support he has given to the state chapter of the party and gave assurance that the PDP executives in the state will leave a befitting legacy after this administration.
