DTSG Donates Communication Gadgets Worth Millions of Naira to Police.
The Delta State Acting Governor, Prof Amos Utuama (SAN) has given full assurance that the state government would continue to partner with security agencies to ensure a sustainable peaceful environment.

In further pursuance of its Peace and Security agenda, the Delta State Government, recently commissioned Two-Way Conventional Communication System and Extrication Equipment for Accident Rescue operation worth millions of naira. Above are some of the vehicles that were commissioned by the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ogbonaya Onovo
Prof Utuama gave the assurance when the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ogbonna Onovo and his team who were in the state to receive a Two-Way Conventional Communication System and Extrication Equipment for Accident Rescue operation paid him a courtesy call in Government House, Asaba, Delta State.
While commending him for his new appointment, Prof Utuama stated that the position was well deserved as he would use his wealth of experience in the discharge of his duties.
He noted that in pursuing the peace and security agenda of Delta State Government, the police and other security agencies remain the principal partners in ensuring that the environment is relatively peaceful to accommodate investors and meaningful development.
According to the Acting Governor, effective communication and mobility cannot be compromised in combating crime in the society adding that the state government is ready to reduce crime wave to a zero tolerance in the state.
Earlier, the Inspector General of Police, Ogbonna Onovo commended the State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan for his developmental stride and contributions to security agencies.
Mr. Ogbonna pointed our that security of life and property is essential in any meaningful development adding that with effective communication system and mobility, crime would not only be reduced but it would also check road blocks which is one of the weak angles of the police.
He frowned at the continuous apportion of blame on police unnecessary stressing that with effective communication equipment and adequate mobility, crime would be reduced in the state. He called on other neighbouring states to emulate Delta State to check security linkage.
