The Delta State Government has announced a cabinet shake -up in the State Executive Council.

According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, those affected by the dissolution are; the Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Dr. Tabs Ogaranya Tabowei, the Commissioner for Housing, Engr. A.E. Bobor, the Commissioner for Water Resources Development, Mr. George Timinimi, the Commissioner for Special Duties (Warri/Effurun Water Supply project, Mr. Champion Kpateghe, the Commissioner for Directorate of Transport, Mr. Gilbert Penakeme Benefa.

Others are, the Commissioner for Special Duties (New Government House project), Mr.Onochie Okonkwo, the Commissioner for Works, Mr. Paul Osaji, the Commissioner for Directorate of Science and Technology, Dr. Roland Eyime, the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Dr. (Mrs.) Elizabeth Uvoh-Gardner and the Commissioner for Justice .Barrister Dafe Akpedeye(SAN).

The statement added that 'His Excellency, Governor Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan has expressed his appreciation to the former Commissioners for their immense services and contribution to the growth and development of the State'.

It is hereby announced for the information of the general public that His Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, the Governor of Delta State has approved a shake-up in the Cabinet of the Delta State Executive Council.

Consequently, the following have been relieved of their appointments as Commissioners and Members of the Delta State Executive Council:

1. Dr. Tabs Ogaranya Tabowei - Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources
2. Engr. A.E. Bobor - Ministry of Housing
3. Mr. George Timinimi - Ministry of Water Resources Development.
4. Mr. Champion Kpateghe - Special Duties (Warri/Effurun Water Supply Project}
5. Mr. Gilbert Penakeme Benafa - Directorate of Transport
6. Mr. Onoche Okonkwo - Special Duties (New Govt. House Project)
7. Mr. Paul Osaji - Ministry of Works
8. Dr. Roland Eyime - Directorate of Science and Technology
9. Hon. (Mrs) Chinwe D. Monu-Olarewaju - Ministry of Commerce and Industries
10. Barrister Dafe Akpedeye(SAN)- Ministry of Justice 
11. Mrs. Elizabeth Uvo-Gardener - Ministry of (Basic/Sec.) Education
