MEMBERS of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in the Central Senatorial District of Delta State, Sunday, passed a vote of confidence on the State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan and his Deputy, Prof. Amos Utuama for the unprecedented spate of human and infrastructural development in the state.

Moving the motion during the inaugural meeting of the District’s Executive Committee which was held at the residence of Prof. Utuama on Udu / Ughelli Road, the member representing Ughelli North Local Government Area Constituency II in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Abel Oshevire, said the motion was in appreciation of the Governor’s conscious and determined effort to make the State a model for others to follows.

The motion which was unanimously adopted by the people was seconded by the State Commissioner for Special Duties. Speaking during the meeting, the Deputy Governor, Prof. Utuama stressed the need for party members to be united in order for them to meet the aspirations of all Deltans.

While noting that the Central Senatorial District was fairly treated in the areas of appointments, the Deputy Governor added that “we must network and be loyal to the party so that our people can benefit from the finest hour of democracy.”

Speaking further, Utuama enjoined the various Council Chairmen and Local Government Party Chairmen across the State to work together intimately, holding that it was the only way to grow democracy from the grassroots.

Earlier in their remarks during the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Party in the State, Chief Ighoyota Amori and Chairman of the Party in Delta Central Senatorial District, Surv Terry Noah sued for unity amongst Local Government Party Chairmen and Council Chairmen in the District.

The State Commissioner for Information, Mr Oma Djeba and Public Relations Officer, PRO of the Party in the Area while chatting with newsmen said vote of confidence on the Governor and his Deputy was a display that the people of the Area were appreciating the good works of the State Government.
