Chairman Aniocha North LGA Signs Two Bills into Law.

The Chairman of Aniocha North local government, Honourable Jaunty Okwudi has signed two bills passed by the legislative arm of the local government into law.

Honourable Okwudi sign the bill in a brief ceremony in his office at Issele-Uku recently.

The bills signed by the chairman include the bill for the Amendment to the Byelaw on Identification of Indigenes and that of the bill to make Basic and Mandatory Provision for Environmental Health and Sanitation in the Area.

During the ceremony, Honourable Okwudi commended members of the Legislative Arm for a job well done and stressed that the local government had never had it so good in terms of quality bills since the inception of democracy in Nigeria.

He stated that members of the Legislative Arm of the local government have distinguished themselves in the act of law making and urged them not to relent in their effort towards making good laws to regulate the activities of the local government.

Honourable Okwudi Said that the executive would strive to implement the bills strictly, he prayed God to guide them as they make laws for the accelerated development of the area.

Earlier, the Leader of the legislative Arm of the local government, Honourable Patrick Onochie, said that the bills were passed to help the executive in the sustainable development of the local government area.
