Women Group Sues for Unity Among Abraka People
Abraka Women in Peace Building (AWIP) under the umbrella of the West African Network For Peace Building (WANEP) has called on the people of Abraka to work in harmony and unity to ensure speedy development of the community.
According to the President, Mrs. Alice Ivwurie, the organization is working in line with the present administration’s three point agenda.
Mrs. Ivwurie stated that electricity, poor road network and unemployment are some of the problems facing the community.
Also speaking, the State Co-ordinator of Abraka Women in Peace Building and the Focal person for the South-South Women of the Niger Delta, Mrs. Emuobonuvie Ajiboye, said they have decided to be at the forefront to fight for womanhood.
Mrs. Ajiboye urged the people of Abraka to always embrace peace irrespective of their religious belief or political affiliations as no meaningful development can take place when there is chaos and rancor.
The women group later went round the various communities in Abraka preaching the message of peace, love and unity.
