DELTA State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, has urged the church to support the fight against criminal activities in Niger Delta region.

To this end, the governor yesterday in Port Harcourt donated 32-seater Toyota Coastal bus and Toyota Camry 2009 model to the South-South Zonal office of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

The governor represented by the CAN Zonal Vice Chairman, Goddowell Avwomakpa, said the gesture was aimed at enhancing CAN's ability to reach out to the erring youths of the region.

Uduaghan, who noted that preaching of the gospel to the people would help bring the needed peace in Niger Delta, urged the association to use the vehicles for the purpose for which it was given.

While receiving the keys of the vehicles, the Zonal Chairman, Godfrey Numbere, said the association was mutually inclusive to ensure the region moves forward.

He said the vehicles would enable the group carry out its evangelical programmes to all parts of Niger Delta, noting that the development would bring hope to the derailing youths.
