Okwudi Extols the Virtues of Information Officers.
The Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government, Chief Jaunty Okwudi has said that information officers are very vital to the smooth running of the local government system.
Chief Okwudi made the observation while playing host to members of the National Association of local government Information officers, NACOIGON, Delta State chapter, who paid him a courtesy visit. He said that the information officers represent the image making organ of the various local government councils by way of propagating the activities of the council to the people.
The council Boss stated that the officers are carrying out a very important assignment by their schedule of duties, adding that the Aniocha North local government under the present administration is trying its best to support the information unit of the council to ensure that their performance is at its peak.
Earlier in her address the State President of the Association, Mrs. Joy Mordi commended the Chairman of the local government Chief Jaunty Okwudi for his developmental strides in the local government area adding that they were in Issele-Uku for the association's monthly meeting.
She also commended him for the support and co-operation his administration is giving to the information officers in the local government council in the effective performance of their functions, stressing that they are very much impressed with the way he is carrying the officers along in the day to day administration of the local government.
