Golley Calls for Co-operation in Waste Management.
The Waste Management Board has expressed its readiness to tackle the problem of waste across the three senatorial districts of the State.
The Chairman of the Board, Honourable Solomon Golley stated this at the commissioning of some waste management equipment by Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan.
Honourable Golley thanked the governor for deeming it fit to promote the job of the board with the equipment and sued for the maximum support of the private sector in the management of wastes. He called on local government chairmen to give priority attention to waste management, stressing that the board was out to rid the State of indiscriminate waste.
The board chairman advised Deltans to dispose their waste in government approved sites, stressing that anyone that falls prey to environmental laws would face the wrath of the law. He disclosed that the ultimate goal of the board was to make the State one of the neatest in the country.
