The wife of the state Government and chairperson Master Care Foundation, Mrs.Roli Sheila Uduaghan has been presented with the award-first Lady of the year by Global Excellence Magazine, Lagos.

The award was in recognition of Mrs. Uduaghan's passion and achievement in touching the lives of women, children and the less privileged.

Mrs. Uduaghan who was nominated alongside the wife of the Osun State Governor, Mrs. Omolola Oyinlola, and the wife of the Bauchi State Governor, Hajiya Nafusatu Yaguda won the award because she was able to affect more lives through her empowerment programme.

Dedicating the award to God, Mrs. Uduaghan explained that she has been into women empowerment before she became first lady, adding that it is a divine assignment given to her by God.

She said the award will spur her to do more in improving the socio-economic welfare of the less privilege in the society.

Speaking in an interview, an executive of the People's Democratic Party PDP, Mrs. Shola Daibo and the Secretary Master Care Foundation, Mrs. Kevwe Agass said the award was a clear testimony of Mrs. Uduaghan's achievement in championing the cause of womanhood, children and the down trodden. Awards were presented in many categories which included cooperate organizations, politics, entertainment and media.

The politician of the year award was presented to the Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko while Otumba Gbenga Daniels won the life time achievement award of the year.
