The governor admonished some mechanics for pouring engine oil, throwing empty cans and other wastes into drainage systems stressing that "we cannot have mechanic workshops along this road when the dualization exercise is completed".
"We shall liase with both the Warri South and Uvwie Local Government Councils to secure a place where we shall build modern mechanic village where drivers and car owners can relax while their vehicles are been repaired."
An engineer with contracting firm handling the Refinery Road dualisation, Mr. Jihad Aoun, in his brief to the governor, said roundabouts will be provided at intervals in the 3.5 kilometre road.
Governor Uduaghan also took time to address commercial motorcycle riders and advised them on the need to wear helments to avoid head injuries in the event of accidents.
He promised that commercial motorcyclists will be among those to be employed as drivers for 200 buses acquired by the state government for public transportation.
