Rehabilitation of Federal Roads in the Interest of Deltans

Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan has said the State Government embarked on the rehabilitation of all roads including Federal Government owned roads in the state out of concern for good roads and safety of the people.
The Governor who stated this while inspecting the State Direct Labour Agency (DLA) rehabilitation work on the D.S.C round-about Effurun, said the state government embarked on the repair of the road because of its benefits to the people.
According to him, the state was not expecting any refund from the Federal Government for the money expended on the rehabilitstion work.
The governor,however criticized the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, FERMA for abandoning its duty of maintaining all Federal Government Roads in the State. He stressed the commitment of the State through the D.L.A to rehabilitate all roads in the state.
The State Director Labour Agency Roads Maintenance Manager, Mr. Edwin Edewor told the governor that the DSC round-about rehabilitation work included the laying of asphalt, which he said was almost completed.
Governor Uduaghan was accompanied on the inspection by the D.L.A Director General Mr. Festus Ovie-Agas.
