Judgement Affirms Uduaghan’s Development Strides -Djebah

Delta State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Oma Djebah, has declared that the judgement of the retrial tribunal which threw out the petition of the candidate of the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP), Chief Great Ogboru, is an affirmation of the vision and development strides of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan.

Speaking with reporters after the judgement was delivered, Djebah said Governor Uduaghan’s three point programme of peace and security, human capital and infrastructure development has produced massive results in all parts of the State and that all Deltans are by the tribunal’s ruling enjoined to join hands with the Uduaghan administration for the accelerated development of the State.

The Commissioner said the ruling “effectively lays to rest any issue arising from the 2007 governorship elections as the judiciary has categorically affirmed that Governor Uduaghan was massively elected by the majority of Deltans,” adding that “what is now needed is for all Deltans irrespective of shades of opinion or political persuasion to join hands with the Uduaghan administration for the overall benefit of the State.”

According to the Information Commissioner, Governor Uduaghan’s vision for the State is further strengthened and that the administration is more than ever before determined and committed to bequeathing a greater Delta that will be the pride of all.

Djebah, who commended the support and prayers of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftains and faithfuls for the Uduaghan administration, especially while the case lasted in the tribunal, called on Deltans to cooperate with the state government in its bid to positively transform the State.

He said the manifests benefits of the three point programme of the Uduaghan administration “that is evident in all nooks and crannies of the state mean that all Deltans should continue to file behind the hardworking and visionary governor as we approach 2011 and beyond.”
