Government To Dualise Amukpe-Agbor Road.
Member representing Ethiope Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Mr. Halims Ochuko Agoda, has assured the people of his constituency that the Federal Government will soon connect Amukpe with Agbor in Delta State with a dual carriageway.
Agoda, who disclosed this at the palace of Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom, Erhiekevwe 1 in Jesse town, Ethiope West Local Government Area, Delta State, also disclosed that plans were on top gear to construct an overhead bridge at Oghara, Abraka and Mosogar junctions.
He said because of the huge sum of money involved, the bridge at Jesse junction would not be rehabilitated immediately even as he appealed to his people for their understanding to allow the construction of Oghara, Abraka and Mosogar overhead bridges to come up first since they are more prone to frequent accidents, adding that plans for the reconstruction of the Gamon bridge over the river Ethiope is equally on.
He appealed to Idjerhe people to leave together as one united family and shun all vices inimical to development as government does not operate in a crisis-prone community, adding that plans are underway for the overall transformation of his constituency, even though it does not come rapidly as it is expected as, while advising that they should respect the **Ovie,** his second in command, the **Iyasere** of Idjerhe kingdom and any other constituted authority put in place by the people.
