State Government Promises to Improve Economy.

Commissioner for 'Commerce and Industry, Honorable Chinwe Monu Olarewaju, says the State Government has worked out ways to improve the economy of the state.

The Commissioner stated this at Issele-Uku in Aniocha North when she visited the area to sensitize the people on the State Government and Bank of Industry Small and Medium Scale Entrepreneurs Loan Scheme.

She said the State Government is in partnership with the Bank of Industry with a view to making the credit facility easy for interested and hardworking industrialists.

Honorable Monu-Olarewaju also said that the Loan Scheme was developed to eliminate the stringent conditions attached to commercial bank loans while assuring the people that access to the funds would be easy and stress free.

The Commissioner listed the basic requirements for qualification for the loan to include a formal application to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, a registered business name and a bankable business plan to accompany the application.

The Chairman of Aniocha North, Honorable Jaunty Okwudi commended Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan for his vision of industrializing the State through the Scheme, stressing that the gesture will have direct impact on the economy of the Local Government.

He called on Industrialists in the area to use the opportunity of the Loan Scheme to improve on their businesses.
