WIFE of Delta State Governor, Mrs. Roli Sheila Uduaghan, has commiserated with the Managing Director, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr. Timi Alaibe, on the demise of his wife, Alaere.

Mrs. Uduaghan said she received with shock the news of Mrs. Alaibe's death, describing the deceased as a friend and confidant to her husband, "a source of inspiration to women and a ray of hope to the needy".

"She dedicated her time and resources to the poor through her humanitarian services with her non-governmental organisation, Family Re-orientation Education and Empowerment (FREE). By God's grace, lives have been affected positively", Mrs. Uduaghan said.

Describing Alaere's death as a great loss to the people of the Niger Delta, she urged Mr. Alaibe to comfort himself daily with the word of God, while praying that God would grant him and the children the fortitude to bear the loss.
