:Doctors Assure Patients of Adequate Attention.
An eighty five year old Esther Obaurobo from Ovwodokpokpo in Ughelli South local government area who was blind for more than twenty years has regained her sight through surgical operation.
The woman who first appeared at the Rural Health Centre, Okpare-Olomu where she was referred for surgery was led by her son.
Esther Obaurobo who was in a very happy mood thanked the Uduaghan administration for the kind gesture and was later joined by friends and well wishers.
However over ten different operations were carried out at the Central Hospital Ughelli, including Moses Divine who was successfully operated of hydrocele which doctors described as fluid in the scrotum which is a congenital problem.
It was discovered that Moses Divine had been with the problem since birth and had been in pain and could not walk well.
The parents had lost all hope until they heard of the Rural Health Scheme, which according to them is the best thing any Government could do for its citizens.
More than ten women have been successfully operated of fibroid thanked the State Governor for helping them to remove the problem that had been with them for many years.
The surgical team is expected to move to Central Hospital Kwale Friday 6th 2009 to continue with surgical operations.
The Rural Health Scheme has completed its activities in twenty two Local Government Areas of the State.
