Free Rural Health Scheme.

:Twelve Thousand, Seven Hundred and Nine Rural Dwellers Treated.

As the rural Health Scheme begins its activities in Sapele local government area, a total of twelve thousand seven hundred and nine rural dwellers have been treated for various ailments in all the local government areas visited in the State.

So far, fourteen local government areas have been covered in the State, these are Ethiope East with a total of nine hundred and ninety, Ughelli North on e thousand, one hundred and seventy one, Ukwuani Nine hundred and ninety , Ndokwa West-eight hundred and fifteen, Bomadi six hundred and seventeen, Isoko North Eight hundred and thirty nine, Warri North Six hundred and seventeen, Warri South six hundred and sixty, Warri South West six hundred and forty two, Okpe Eight hundred and sixteen, Ika south one thousand two hundred and sixty four, Aniocha North Nine hundred and fifteen and Aniocha South one thousand and eighteen.

Rural Health Doctors attached to the surgical team who relocated from the central hospital Agbor to the Central hospital Sapele have started surgical operations. Reports showed that those who could not be operated on at the Central Hospital, Agbor were operated at the Central Hospital Sapele.

Those referred from Agbor were those who needed to improve on their medical conditions before major surgical operations could be performed on them to avoid complications.

As the scheme kicked off in the Primary healthcare centre, Ghana, Sapele, many were being referred for surgical operation at the Central Hospital Sapele.
