An Ultra modern chapel and a standard football pitch built by the master key fellowship for inmates of the medium security prison, Ogwahi-Uku, Aniocha South Local Government has been commissioned for use.

The ceremony which was attended by the wife of the state governor and chairperson I Care Project Mrs. Roli Sheila Uduaghan also had in attendance, members of the state Assembly and their wives, members of the state executive council and their wives, the wife of the secretary to the state government, clergymen and the chairman of Aniocha South Local government.

Mrs. Uduaghan who is also the co-ordinator of the master key fellowship in her address said the building of the chapel was born out of the desire to reach out to inmates through the word of God.

She said the chapel would help in moulding the prisoners spiritually to enable them fit into the society when released. Earlier, the officer-in-charge of the prison, Mr. Godwin Evboeruan thanked members of the fellowship for fulfilling their promise through the provision of the chapel and the foot ball pitch.

While calling on other well meaning Nigerians to emulate the gesture of the master key fellowship, Mr. Evboeruan appealed to the state government to provide electricity to the prison.

The inmates of the prison, commended the fellowship for the gesture which thIn an address on behalf of the inmates of the prison, Mr. Gilbert Ororo they commended the fellowship for the gesture which they said will help them have a closer relationship with God and make them better persons when they leave prison.

In a sermon in the new chapel the Delta State Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria PFN, Bishop Pius Odioko commended the fellowship for building a chapel for God, and called on the inmates to pray for total freedom from the vices which led to their imprisonment.

Highlight of the ceremony was the commissioning of the chapel by the National President of PFN, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor and the commissioning of the foot ball pitch by the Delta State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Archbishop God do-well Avwomakpaey said would help them have a closer relationship with God and make them better persons when they leave prison.
