DTSG Commended for Restoring Ferry Services in Ase Creek.
The State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan has been commended for intervening in the recent stoppage of ferry service along the Ase Creek by Agip.
In a statement in Asaba the Chairman Beneku Community, Ndokwa East Local Government area, Mr. Okwuagu Anthony stated that the intervention of the State government through the office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Oil and Gas provided succor to the community.
In the statement, Beneku community stated that the people of the area will remain grateful to the state government for listening to their yearnings, promising to remain loyal to the State government.
The community however, pleaded with Governor Uduaghan to direct the contractor to go back to site so that full ferry services can be sustained, adding that the contractor's workers are threatening to stop service due to non-payment of salary arrears of about four months.
