An HIV support Group known as Victory Support Group in Warri South, has been commended by the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Micro-Credit, Dr. Antonia Ashiedu for having a positive attitude towards their status.

Dr. Ashiedu praised the Group for leading a normal life and also for supporting each other. The Victory Support Group, had thirty of their members empowered through the Delta State Micro-Credit programme on World's Aids Day.

Dr Ashiedu remarked that contacting HIV has no bearing on qualification for DMCP Loan, rather, she said people living with HIV should be encouraged to educate other people in the society and raise their awareness level.

Speaking on the occasion, the Co-ordinator of Victory Support Group, Mary Godspower, thanked the State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, for establishing the Delta State Micro-Credit programme, which has proven to cater for all segments of the society especially the needy.
