In continuation of the music audition of the Delta Talent Quest DTQ, over two hundred and forty youths have participated in the exercise at Warri.

The music audition which is organized by the office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Entertainment and Talent Development is part of Government's effort to identify and harness talent of youths in different art such as music, comedy, acting and dance among others.

At the Warri audition centre fifty five persons were selected to participate in the next level including physically challenged persons. Speaking, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Entertainment and Talent Development, Barrister Richard Mofe Damijo said the DTQ is in line with the State Government's human capital development agenda.

He said only the audition for music is currently ongoing adding that comedy, dance and acting will commence next year from January.

Barrister Damijo noted that successful contestants who have been given congratulatory cards will be invited for a call back audition at Asaba and Warri.

He explained that the call back audition for contestants who participated in Asaba, Agbor, Kwale and Ozoro will have theirs in Asaba on the twenty ninth while those at Ughelli, Patani, Warri, Koko, Oghara and Sapele as well as Abraka will have their call back audition at Warri on the 27th of this month.

The Special Adviser pointed out that from the two call back auditions only twelve persons will emerge and will proceed into the reality TV house for twenty one days where they will be trained by various resource persons adding that elimination contest will commence every seven days out of which three persons will emerge as winners.

He advised those who were not successful to go back to their drawing board saying music audition will commence again in September 2009.
