Delta Receives World's Biggest Reactors.
A SHIP carrying two reactors for use at the Chevron Escravos Gas To Liquid Project, has arrived Warri with Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan saying he will lead other Deltans to celebrate in the church this coming Sunday.
Uduaghan disclosed this while receiving the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Archbishop John Onaiyekan in Asaba yesterday, said the ship arrived on Wednesday. Said he, "yesterday (Wednesday), I celebrated and in fact this Sunday I am also going to give thanks giving because one of the biggest ships in the world came into the shores of Delta yesterday.
"It is carrying what we call reactors, two reactors and they are some of the two biggest reactors in the world that are going to be used for the Escravos Gas To Liquid Project. Some of the two biggest reactors in the world made in Japan".
When the reactors are mounted, you can see them from quite some distance. We have been monitoring it and yesterday, it landed safely. Everybody is quite excited about it. It shows the level to which we have been able to handle the peace process. "With that and the information going into the world that that kind of ship was brought into Delta State successfully, will improve the confidence that shippers have in our area.
I believe that many of the ships that are still hanging around the shores of Lagos will have a change of mind and start coming (into the Delta Ports)." Uduaghan's administration in its quest to bring back the sea ports has since drawn up a blueprint aimed at revitalizing the four existing sea ports in the state.
