Acting Governor Drums Support for Uduaghan's Re-election.
The Acting Governor of Delta State Prince Sam Obi has promised total support for the re-election of Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan and urged PDP faithful in the state to sell the Uduaghan candidacy to the electorate.
Speaking to a cross section of leaders of the party at a crucial meeting at Asaba, the acting governor said the mandate of delivering Uduaghan is a task that must be done.
Describing the court annulment of the Dr Uduaghan governorship as an injury to all PDP faithfuls, Prince Samuel Obi stressed the importance of the re-run, election explaining that any miscalculation could spell doom for politicians and make them retire from politics.
Prince Sam Obi said the rerun election would turn out to be victory without stress for the party, and its candidate, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan and enjoined PDP faithful to be consistent.
In his remarks Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan said the re-run governorship election should be seen as a challenge to the PDP in the state and urged party leaders to properly mobilize the grass root for the election.
He appealed to stakeholders to reconcile all differences and forge ahead as a united body to contest the re-run election.
Sounding philosophical, Dr. Uduaghan said some events bring vital lessons and promised to do better when re-elected.
Speaking at the meeting the State Chairman of the PDP, Chief Peter Nwaoboshi assured Dr Uduaghan that Delta North will deliver him during the re-run, election.
The former secretary to state Government, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa also assured Dr Uduaghan of total support even as he promised that Delta North PDP would use the rerun election to make a positive statement.
