The Acting Governor of Delta State. Prince Sam Obi has commended Local Government Chairmen in the state for fast tracking development at the grass root.

Prince Obi who disclosed this at a meeting with the local government chairmen in the state explained that they have individually and collectively contributed their quota to the development of the state.

He noted that the chairmen have contributed to the transformation of the state and improvement of the well being of Deltans saying "I thank you all for co-operating with this administration to move development forward."

He continued "I commend you individually and collectively for contributing to the development in the state. You have done so much and I hope we will all work together to enable our people enjoy more dividends of development."

Prince Obi stated that besides fast-tracking the development of the local government areas, they have also sustained peace in their domains.

In a related development, the Acting governor Prince Sam Obi also met with political appointees in the state and express appreciation to them for their role in governance.

Prince Obi explained that their role was critical in governance and urged them to support the state overnment fully. He however postponed the meeting till Friday and enjoined all political appointee especially special assistants, executive assistants to be present.
