Oma Djebah Restate Commitment to Training and Retraining

Information Commissioner, Mr. Oma Djebah, has reiterated Government's belief in developing its human capital through training and retraining of its workforce in order to improve efficiency in the service.

The Commissioner disclosed this while declaring open a workshop organized for the staff of the Printing Department of the Ministry of Information, Asaba.

According to him, the training which was organized in collaboration with Platinum Integrated Consults Limited, Asaba, was aimed at up-dating the knowledge of officers of the department with modern printing skills so as to enable them perform optimally.

He said their job was very sensitive as they handled the printing of very vital documents for Government, adding that there was need for updating of their knowledge through training and retraining especially in such a workshop.

Commissioner Djebah charged the participants to avail themselves of the training exercise so as to equip themselves with the necessary skills required for the effective discharge of their duties.

The Chief Consultant of Platinum Consults, Mr. Raymond Akpomedaye, stressed the need for participants to take the training seriously as it was aimed at boosting their operational effectiveness in printing.

Present during the opening ceremony were the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Gift Nikoro, Director of Publication and Production Services, Mr. Steve Megwai, the Government Printer and Mr. Anthony Awaritoma.
