YETA-FSP: Uduaghan Orders Committee to Allocate Farmland to Beneficiaries

Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan has given a marching order to the Committee on Youth Empowerment through Agriculture- Farmers' Support Programme (YETA-FSP) to ensure that those youths trained at the Songhai Amukpe are allocated farm lands by the end of the month.

The governor who gave the directive at the meeting of the Committee in Government House Thursday, said all efforts must be made to put the programme back on track by mobilizing the youths trained for the exercise but are yet to be allocated lands to the farm.

A statement by the Commissioner for Information and Chairman, Sensitization and other Strategies Sub-committee of YETA-FSP, Mr. Oma Djebah, said Governor Uduaghan reiterated that agricultural sites for all the categories of farming are ready by the end of June to ensure that the programme returns to full swing according to the plan of the state government.

According to the statement, the governor said YETA-FSP is a very key component of the human capital development agenda of his administration and one of the strategies to diversify the economic base of the state's economy.
