Uduaghan Rewards Two Deltans for Hard Work and Patriotism.

There were harvest of appointments, car gifts and reward for hard work in Delta State as Governor Uduaghan resumed work after the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Dr. Uduaghan, who splashed out the gifts while swearing in two new commissioners into the State Executive Council in Asaba, gave automatic employment and a new car to one Mr. Idowu Idogun who has been voluntarily controlling traffic in Warri for the past 10 years without pay.

The Governor who also gave a new car to a blind man said he was impressed by the management skill of the blind man who in the past few years managed astonishly the taxi car given to him by Dr. Ayo Oritsejafor and Eagle Bank Credit Loan Scheme.

Dr. Uduaghan also gave automatic appointment to one Mr. Anthony Akosiehwe popularly known as Jimra for being appreciative and supportive of his administration.

He explained that the appointment given to the youth who had been controlling traffic in Warri for the past ten years, was in appreciation of his selflessness and patriotic zeal.

He said he had watched Mr. Idowu do this job over the years and was touched when he discovered that he was unemployed and not being paid by anybody but survived through casual gifts by philanthropists.

The Governor said the revelation jolted him even as he explained that this moved him to assist Mr. Idogun with appointment which would be permanent and pensionable.

On the blind man, Dr. Uduaghan said the deficiency of sight was supposed to incapacitate him but poured encomium on him for managing what he called little things with expertise.

Explaining further he put it this way, "I am giving a car from the Urban Taxi Cab family to the blind man for his management skill in managing the taxi car he benefited from the Dr. Ayo Oristejafor and Eagle Flight Bank Micro Credit Scheme.

Dr. Uduaghan said he believed in hard work even as he expressed the hope that the little gift would improve the life of the recipients. Responding, Mr. Idowu Idogun thanked the Governor for appreciating his little contribution to society. Visibly excited, Idogun who was in tears, promised to continue to be patriotic and render selfless service to humanity.
