The Delta State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan at the weekend received an award of Excellence by THISDAY newspaper in what the newspaper described as the Governor’s aggressive infrastructural and manpower development policies and programmes.


The newspaper’s board of editors at the ceremony which held in Abuja and witnessed by world dignitaries said it was satisfied with the development policies and programmes of the State Government which have led to job creation.


Former President George W. Bush of United States, ex-British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, former US Secretary of State Dr. Condolissa Rice, former President John Kufour of Ghana and Nigeria’s ex-President Alhaji Shehu Shagari witnessed the award.  More


DTSG Donates Communication Gadgets Worth Millions of Naira to Police


In further pursuance of its Peace and Security agenda, the Delta State Government, recently commissioned Two-Way Conventional Communication System and Extrication Equipment for Accident Rescue operation worth millions of naira. Above are some of the vehicles that were commissioned by the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ogbonaya OnovoThe Delta State Acting Governor, Prof Amos Utuama (SAN) has given full assurance that the state government would continue to partner with security agencies to ensure a sustainable peaceful environment.


Prof Utuama gave the assurance when the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ogbonna Onovo and his team who were in the state to receive a Two-Way Conventional Communication System and Extrication Equipment for Accident Rescue operation paid him a courtesy call in Government House, Asaba, Delta State. More


Reprieve For 13 Inmates as Chief Judge Visits Warri Prison.


Chief Judge of Delta State, Justice Roselyn Bozimo.It was a pleasant surprise for 13 of the inmates of Warri Prisons as they yesterday walked into the sweet path of freedom following amnesty granted them by the visiting Chief Judge of Delta State, Justice Roselyn Bozimo.


They were acquitted of their offence by Justice Bozimo who toured federal prison in Warri, Delta state. The 13 persons were acquitted and released from prison or found innocent of charges leveled against them. More
